Marine transformers which we produce can be classified as following:
1.) Drive Transformers
These are converter transformer for electric motor driven ships used in the New Age propulsion systems. Apart from the use of copper conductive, special materials are also used against corrosion under sea conditions. In addition vibration effects are important in design. The conditions of the medium and sizing should be stated by the customer. STS (Sonmez Transformer) is able to produce converter transformers for 6-12-18-24-36-48 pulse applications. These are transformers for the the power supply unit meeting the internal need of the ships. Copper conductive and special materials against harsh sea conditions are used. In addition vibration effects are important in design. The conditions of the medium and sizing should be stated by the customer. Besides it is considered suitable that it comes with a spare coil.
