Sönmez Trafo

Sönmez Transformer Company ( STS ) manufactures power transformers, special transformers for different applications and reactors. The Company was founded in 1976 and located in Gebze which is close to Istanbul. The modern transformer production plant was set up over an area 40000 sq.m., and is a large plant for special transformers. The plant makes use of advanced transformer/reactor manufacturing technologies based on know-how provided by ourself. The plant employs a staff of 98 people. The plant is divided into the following department: winding, core production, assembly drying vacuum fill oil, modern test laboratory, finishing department and quality assurance department.

We have moved to our new Head Quarter and production plant by May 2017.

We presented our products at OSEA 2016 Oil&Gas exhibition which has been realized in Singapore between 29.Nov-2. Dec. 2016.

Sönmez Trafo Sailing team wond BDK Cup IRC IV organized by Turkish Opensea Race Club on 02.07.2016.

We presented our products at SSM maritime exhibition which has been realized in Hamburg between 6-9 September September 2016.

We presented our products at Eurasia Railway Istanbul exhibition which has been realized in Turkey between 3-5 September 2016.

We participated to İstanbul Technical University-Human Resources Session on 23-24.02.2016.

A dream that became a reality: Tülomsaş has rolled out a prototype electric locomotive designed and manufactured using Turkish technology. We are proud of being of first Turkish Locomotive Transformer Manufacturer.

We have introduced our company to members of ESS (The European Spallation Source) and Turkish Researches during the conference named “ An Opportunity for Turkish Organizations and Companies” which is organized by Tübitak on 06.10.2015.

We presented our products at Indonesia 2015 Electric, Power & Renewable Energy exhibition which will be realized in Jakarta, Indonesia between 16-19 September 2015.

Visit us at Elfack 2015 Gothenburg fair between 5-8 May 2015.
